Fort Bend County WC & ID #2 is a political subdivision of the State of Texas governed by an elected five member board and is considered a primary government. The District was created by an order of the State Board of Water Engineers of Texas and adopted on December 12, 1946, in accordance with the Texas Water Code, Chapter 51.
The District is empowered, among other things, to purchase, to construct, to operate, and to maintain all works, improvements, and facilities necessary for the supply of water, and for the collection and processing of waste water.
